Microsoft Copilot training for companies
Teach your team to make the most of what you already have in Microsoft 365. Hands-on training for staff, managers and IT teams, in English or Lithuanian, at your office or remotely.
LONGRUN runs Microsoft Copilot training for companies and organisations in Lithuania. We teach teams to work with Copilot Chat and to use the paid Microsoft 365 Copilot licence in Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. For advanced users and IT teams we show how to build agents with Copilot Studio. We work with your real emails, documents and spreadsheets, not abstract examples. The training is led by Audrius Grinys, founder of LONGRUN. He has worked with business management systems and company digitalisation since 2018 and has led the IT department and sales at the news portal Alfa.lt.
Why start with Copilot
If your company works in Microsoft 365, Copilot is usually the logical first step. There is no new tool, no new accounts and no new vendor. Copilot Chat with a work account is included in Microsoft 365 business plans at no extra cost, and Copilot use is covered by the same data processing agreement your company already has with Microsoft.
We often see that a company already has Copilot, but staff use it rarely or only for simple questions. So instead of buying licences for everyone, we suggest first teaching people to use what you already have. The principles of working with AI are similar, so the skills also carry over to ChatGPT or Claude.
What is the difference between Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Chat and Microsoft 365 Copilot?
The names are confusing, and in August 2026 Microsoft changed them again. Microsoft Copilot now refers both to the free personal assistant and to the paid licence for organisations, previously called Microsoft 365 Copilot. "Office 365 Copilot" is not an official name, people usually mean the same paid licence. The easiest way to tell the versions apart is by account and licence.
Each version in brief
- Microsoft Copilot (personal) is Microsoft's free AI assistant that you sign in to with a personal Microsoft account. It draws on the web and the files you upload.
- Microsoft Copilot Chat is an AI chat assistant for employees signed in with a work account. It is included in Microsoft 365 business plans at no extra cost and is covered by enterprise data protection.
- Microsoft 365 Copilot is a paid add-on licence. With it, Copilot works in Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and draws on the company emails, meetings and documents the employee has access to.
- Microsoft 365 Copilot Business gives the same Copilot capabilities to companies with up to 300 users, at a lower price.
- Copilot Studio is Microsoft's platform for building agents. It is used to build agents that answer questions from company documents, take actions in other systems or talk to customers.
| Personal Microsoft Copilot | Copilot Chat with a work account | Microsoft 365 Copilot (paid licence) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account | Personal Microsoft account | Work account (Microsoft Entra ID) | Work account plus an add-on licence |
| Price | Free version with limits, personal Microsoft 365 plans are paid | Included in Microsoft 365 business plans | EUR 26 per user per month excl. VAT, paid annually |
| Information it uses | The web and the files you upload | The web, uploaded files, Outlook email and calendar | Emails, meetings, chats and documents the user has access to |
| Word, Excel, PowerPoint | In personal Microsoft 365 plans | Limited. In organisations with 2,000 or more users it does not work in these apps without a licence | All features, including Teams meetings |
| Enterprise data protection | Not applicable, personal account terms apply | Applies | Applies |
| Copilot Studio | Not available | Simple agents free, Copilot Studio paid by the credits used | Internal employee agents at no extra cost |
Which version includes Copilot Studio
Copilot Studio is a separate Microsoft platform for building agents. It only works with a work account, so personal Copilot does not include it. With Copilot Chat you can build a simple agent for free (Agent Builder) using instructions and web sources, while agents that use company data are paid with Copilot credits. The Microsoft 365 Copilot licence lets employees build and use internal agents in Copilot, Teams and SharePoint at no extra cost. Customer-facing agents, for example on a website or WhatsApp, and automated processes are paid separately.
A simple agent is enough when it needs instructions and knowledge sources. You need the full capabilities of Copilot Studio when the agent has to take actions in other systems, run on events or talk to customers.
How much does Copilot cost?
Microsoft prices for Lithuania in October 2026, excluding VAT:
| Product | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Copilot Chat with a work account | Included in Microsoft 365 business plans | Agents that use company data are paid with Copilot credits |
| Microsoft 365 Copilot | EUR 26 per user per month | Paid annually |
| Microsoft 365 Copilot Business | EUR 18.20 per user per month | For companies with up to 300 users, paid annually. Until 31 December 2026, EUR 15.60 for the first year, EUR 21.84 with monthly billing |
| Microsoft 365 Business Standard with Copilot Business | EUR 20.36 per user per month | Microsoft 365 plan and Copilot together, paid annually |
| Microsoft 365 Business Premium with Copilot Business | EUR 27.73 per user per month | Microsoft 365 plan and Copilot together, paid annually |
| Copilot Studio | EUR 173.30 per month | A pack of 25,000 Copilot credits for the whole organisation |
Advanced features such as Copilot Cowork are not included in the licence. They are paid with Copilot credits based on usage, so it is worth setting spending limits in advance. From 1 December 2026, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Business can be bought at the same price without a Microsoft 365 plan. Microsoft changes prices often, so check them on the Microsoft website before you buy.

Should you buy Copilot licences for every employee?
Usually not. A paid licence pays off most for employees who spend a lot of time on email, meetings and company documents. For others, Copilot Chat is often enough for everyday tasks. We suggest this path.
- Start with Copilot Chat. It is already in your Microsoft 365 plan, and the training shows how much value it gives at no extra cost.
- Select a pilot group. Give paid licences to a small group of employees whose work involves many emails, meetings and documents.
- Evaluate on real tasks. For a few weeks, track which tasks Copilot helps complete faster and where the results need correcting.
- Scale up or stop. Buy licences for those who clearly benefit, not for the whole organisation at once.
We do not resell Microsoft licences, so our advice is impartial.
Security and data before rolling out Copilot
Copilot does not grant new access rights, but it very quickly finds everything an employee can already access. So before rollout it is worth putting a few things in order.
- Access rights. Review SharePoint and OneDrive sharing settings. If folders are open to the whole organisation, Copilot will use their content in answers. With the Microsoft 365 Copilot licence you can temporarily hide selected SharePoint sites from Copilot search.
- Sensitivity labels. Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels and data loss prevention rules also apply to Copilot, so sensitive documents can be protected in advance.
- Work and personal accounts. Enterprise data protection applies only when signed in with a work account. The Microsoft Copilot app shows which account you are signed in with, so employees need to learn to check it.
- Data in the EU. Copilot is covered by the EU Data Boundary, except for web search queries sent to Bing and Anthropic Claude models. In EU organisations Claude models are turned off by default, and an administrator can turn them on.
- Web search. An administrator can decide whether Copilot may search the web.
- AI use policy. An internal policy should state which tools may be used at work, which data must not be shared and who is responsible for AI-generated results.
Copilot in Lithuanian: what works and what does not yet
Lithuanian is officially supported in Copilot for both work and personal accounts. Copilot understands prompts in Lithuanian and replies in Lithuanian, and Teams meeting transcription also supports Lithuanian.
There are limits. The Copilot Studio editor works in Lithuanian, but agent conversations in Lithuanian are still in preview, and agent triggers support English only. Some of the newest features, such as Copilot Cowork, are optimised for English. Microsoft's official Copilot Academy courses are not available in Lithuanian. It is worth checking the quality of Lithuanian texts on your own real work tasks, especially in official documents, where grammatical cases, terminology and tone matter. We do this together during the training.
Copilot training programme
We choose topics based on your team's needs and the licences you have. Each topic ends with a practical exercise using your own material.

Security and rollout
Work and personal accounts, access rights, sensitivity labels, internal AI use policy. Topics for managers and IT teams cover assessing licence needs, a pilot group and usage reports.
A practical task for your organisation
Each participant chooses a task from their own work and, with the trainer's help, prepares a solution they can keep using.
What employees in different roles learn
- Managers. Summaries of meetings and reports, preparing for conversations, comparing decision options, understanding what Copilot can and cannot do in team work.
- Sales. Drafts of proposals and emails, summaries of customer correspondence, preparing for a customer meeting.
- Finance and accounting. Data analysis and formulas in Excel, explanations for management, working within confidentiality rules.
- HR. Job ads, internal communication, procedure descriptions, onboarding material for new employees.
- Administration. Document templates, meeting minutes, email processing.
- IT team. Copilot settings, access rights, agents and Copilot Studio, usage reports.
How we train large organisations
In a large organisation, one training session for everyone does not deliver lasting results, so we suggest a step-by-step process.
- Basics for everyone. Introductory training so that all employees share the same foundation in using AI.
- Practical workshops by department. Groups of up to 15 participants, 3–4 hour sessions with tasks in between.
- AI champions. We give the most active employees additional training so they can help colleagues and share good practice.
- Licences where they are needed. The pilot group and usage results show who should get paid licences.
Who it is for
- Companies and organisations working in Microsoft 365.
- Teams that already have Copilot but hardly use it.
- Organisations considering Microsoft 365 Copilot licences that want to assess who needs them.
- IT teams and advanced users who want to build agents with Copilot Studio.
Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude or Mistral
You do not have to choose just one tool. In practice, advanced users combine them depending on the task.
| Tool | When it fits |
|---|---|
| Microsoft Copilot | The logical starting platform when a company works in Microsoft 365. Its main advantage is integration with Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint and other organisational data sources. |
| ChatGPT | A versatile tool for working with text, structuring information, translating and generating ideas. Suits employees who need more than standard Copilot use offers. |
| Claude | Complex analytical and technical tasks, work with large context and longer sequences of tasks. Usually suits advanced users, analysts and IT teams. |
| Mistral AI | European AI for organisations that care where their data is stored. It can also be deployed on your own servers. |
How it works
- Free consultation. We discuss which Microsoft 365 licences you have, who already uses Copilot and what you expect.
- Programme design. We choose topics, groups and format, and check in advance which Copilot features are enabled in your environment.
- Training. Participants complete their own tasks using their work accounts.
- After the training. We hand over prompt templates and recommendations on which employees should get a paid licence.
Frequently asked questions about Copilot training
What is the difference between Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot?
The free personal Microsoft Copilot works with a personal Microsoft account and draws on the web and the files you upload. Microsoft 365 Copilot is a paid licence for organisations. With it, Copilot works in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams and draws on the company emails, meetings and documents the user has access to. In between is Copilot Chat, available with a work account at no extra cost. Since August 2026 Microsoft also calls the paid version Microsoft Copilot.
Are Office 365 Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot the same?
Yes. "Office 365 Copilot" is not an official name, people usually mean the paid Microsoft 365 Copilot licence. Office 365 E1, E3 and E5 are Microsoft plans to which a Copilot licence can be added.
Is Copilot free?
Partly. Personal Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Chat with a work account are free but have usage limits. Copilot Chat draws on the web and uploaded files, and in Outlook it also uses your email and calendar. Searching across all company documents, meetings and chats, and the full feature set in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, require a paid Microsoft 365 Copilot licence.
Does Microsoft 365 Copilot include Copilot Studio?
Yes. The licence lets you build agents in Copilot Studio and use internal employee agents at no extra cost. Customer-facing agents, for example on a website or WhatsApp, are paid separately with Copilot credits. Copilot Studio can also be used without this licence by paying for the credits used, while the free personal Copilot does not include it.
How is Copilot Studio different from Agent Builder?
Agent Builder is a simple agent-building tool inside Copilot. With it, an agent is built from instructions and knowledge sources, such as SharePoint documents or websites. Copilot Studio is the full-featured platform. In it, an agent can take actions in other systems, run on events, use Power Platform connectors and be published on a website, in Teams or on WhatsApp.
How much does Microsoft 365 Copilot cost?
As of October 2026, paid annually, Microsoft 365 Copilot costs EUR 26 per user per month, and Copilot Business for companies with up to 300 users costs EUR 18.20. Prices exclude VAT. Until 31 December 2026, Copilot Business costs EUR 15.60 for the first year. The price of our training depends on the number of groups and the scope of the programme, and we send a proposal after a short call. Contact us at +370 637 37 637 or [email protected].
Do we need a paid Copilot licence for the training?
No. Copilot Chat, available with a work account, is enough for the basics. Topics on working with company email, meetings and documents require a Microsoft 365 Copilot licence. Before the training we agree which licences participants will have and choose the topics accordingly.
Does Copilot speak Lithuanian?
Yes. Lithuanian is one of the languages Copilot supports. Copilot understands prompts in Lithuanian and replies in Lithuanian. Teams meeting transcription also supports Lithuanian. Copilot Studio agent conversations in Lithuanian are still in preview, and some of the newest features are optimised for English. Training is available in English or Lithuanian.
Is it safe to use Copilot with company data?
When signed in with a work account, Copilot is covered by enterprise data protection, and Microsoft states that prompts, responses and company data are not used to train models. A personal account does not have this protection, so it should not be used for work documents. The biggest risk is overly broad access rights, because Copilot finds everything an employee can open. In the training we show how to recognise a work account and discuss an internal AI use policy.
Does Copilot use Claude models?
Microsoft 365 Copilot uses models from several providers, including OpenAI and Anthropic. In EU organisations Anthropic Claude models are turned off by default and can be turned on by an administrator. Before turning them on, note that the EU Data Boundary does not currently apply to Anthropic models.
Why doesn't Copilot appear in Word or Excel?
There are several common reasons. In organisations with 2,000 or more users, Copilot in Word, Excel and PowerPoint works only with a Microsoft 365 Copilot licence. Copilot works only with cloud-backed Microsoft 365 apps, on-premises Office versions such as Office LTSC are not eligible. It is also worth checking that the employee is signed in with a work account and that an administrator has not turned Copilot off.
Does the training help meet EU AI Act requirements?
Article 4 of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act requires organisations that use AI systems to take measures to support their staff's AI literacy. Training is one such measure, and you can keep the training programme and the list of participants as evidence. The AI Act does not require certificates. We can also help prepare an internal AI use policy.
How long is the training and how many people are in a group?
Practical workshops last 3–4 hours, with up to 15 participants in a group. We split a larger team into several groups and run the training over several sessions. Between sessions, participants complete tasks in their own work. We agree the exact duration based on the chosen topics.
Why train with you if Microsoft offers free material?
Microsoft's training material is generic, and the Copilot Academy courses are not available in Lithuanian. Our training uses your documents and tasks and follows the licences you have, in English or Lithuanian. After the training, participants have working prompt templates, and advanced participants also have an agent they built themselves.
